Great

Great place to eat. The seafood was really good and the staff was very attentive. I would recommend it to pretty much anyone. The prices were fair as well.

Avoid this place

Had lunch at Brown's today; 6-17-08. It could not have been worse. My fried food was very greasy. The onion rings were so greasy I could see them glisten in the light. They were not edible. My wife's haddock had to have been previously frozen as it was mushy and watery. She could not eat the french fries because the water from the haddock had soacked in. The tartar sauce was very ordinary and served in tiny paper cups. Altogether a bad experience. The tables on the deck were dirty.

The best fried food batter

There are only a few places that makes fried food good and this is one of them. A very light batter. Brown's is a no frill's Lobster and steamers place, place your order, get a number, a find yourself a picnic table inside or out on the deck overlooking a salt marsh. A place to go straight from the beach. It gets packed in the summer, so if you don't like waiting go during the week. One of few lobster shack's that make fried fish just the way I like it, a nice light and not greasy batter. Their fish is always fresh, and the prices are reasonable.
